FSSH Professor publishes new book about exploring the use of generative AI in education

Dr. Alyson King, Professor, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, has published a new edited book titled Artificial Intelligence, Pedagogy & Academic Integrity. The book, published by Springer, addresses the implications of artificial intelligence for teaching, learning and academic integrity in higher education. It explores policies about the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), describes how to teach writing in the era of GenAI, and provides strategies for designing courses and assessments that deter plagiarism while fostering critical thinking and writing skills.
The book is available online through the Ontario Tech Library.
