December 19, 2025
A recent National Post feature highlights Ontario Tech University’s commitment to responsibly designed AI and the partnerships strengthening its human-centred approach. As artificial intelligence becomes more embedded in daily life, concerns around ethics, transparency and public trust continue to grow. The feature outlines how Ontario Tech addresses these challenges through its ethics-by-design framework.
It also spotlights collaborations with partners such as Lakeridge Health, where AI is being explored to support patient care and system planning, and the CNIB, which works with the university to ensure accessibility is built into emerging technologies from the start.
The piece further details Ontario Tech’s recent advancements, the launch of the School of Ethical Artificial Intelligence and the Mindful Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, which equip graduates with both technical expertise and ethical grounding for an AI-driven economy.
