Ontario Tech recognized for sustainability leadership

Ontario Tech University and the Office of Campus Infrastructure and Sustainability (OCIS) received multiple awards at the Durham Greener Buildings Evening of Recognition for major achievements in energy efficiency and emissions reduction across campus.

Representing the university at the event, Isabel Savransky, Asset and Sustainability Planner, OCIS, Branice Yeung, OCIS practicum student, and Ken Bright, Director, OCIS, accepted the following honours:

  • Emissions and Energy Reduction Leadership Award – Campus Field House
  • Best Energy and Emission Performance Award – Windfields OCIS Office and Barn
  • Leadership and Sustainability Impact Award (2nd place) – Greenhouse Gas Saving Measures

Savransky was also recently recognized with the Irene Kock Award for Environmental Awareness for her leadership in sustainability in the Durham Region.

These accomplishments reflect Ontario Tech’s continued commitment to advancing environmental performance and building a more sustainable future.
