Book Club: The God of the Woods by Liz Moore
December 17, 2025
Human Resources invites colleagues to join its book club for a guided discussion of The God of the Woods, a critically acclaimed novel that explores privilege, secrecy, unresolved trauma, and the pursuit of truth. These themes offer a timely lens for reflecting on how families navigate ethical responsibility, accountability, and trust to build long-term resilience.
Named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Must-Read Books of 2024, the novel has been widely praised for its immersive storytelling and expert pacing.
Set in the Adirondacks in the summer of 1975, the story begins when a teenage girl vanishes from a summer camp owned by her influential family. As the search unfolds, long-buried secrets emerge, revealing tensions between power, community, and legacy.
