Black History and Pan-African Thought: In conversation with Dr. Wesley Crichlow and Dr. Wendell Nii Laryea Adjetey

Celebrate Black History Month and take a look back through history with Dr. Wesley Crichlow in conversation with Dr. Wendell Nii Laryea Adjetey about his book, Cross-Border Struggles for Liberation From Chicago to Toronto to Montreal to the Caribbean and Back to Africa which examines African Americans, African Caribbeans, and African Canadians who crossed the border between the United States and Canada during the 20th century for social mobility and Global Black liberation.
Cross-Border Cosmopolitans is the 2024 winner of The Governor General's History Award for Scholarly Research, marking the first time that a Black author has earned this commendation.
The evening will begin with a performance by Dance Caribe, a not-for-profit organization that specializes in traditional and contemporary forms of Caribbean dance.
Books will be available for purchase before and after the event.
