Introducing IT security training for Ontario Tech staff and faculty

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cybersecurity at Ontario Tech, Information Technology Services has partnered with KnowBe4 to provide employees with IT security awareness training. KnowBe4 is a leading platform for security training and simulated phishing from whom we have curated a set of short modules that will help our community better recognize and respond to cyber threats.
On Wednesday, October 1, all Ontario Tech employees will receive an email with instructions on how to complete three interactive training modules (15-20 min each). Topics include security awareness, identity theft and social engineering red flags.
Staff and faculty who complete training will be entered into a draw for the following prizes:
- Monthly draw: One $25 Amazon gift card will be awarded each month.
- Grand prize: Eligible participants who complete all three modules by Friday, December 11 will be entered to win their choice of an Apple Watch Series 10 (Aluminum) or a Google Pixel Watch 3.
All training modules will remain available until Friday, December 11.
