Student leaders recognized at annual end of year celebration

Award winners from the End of Year Celebration 2026

On Wednesday, March 11, Student Engagement and Equity, the International office and the Office of Campus Infrastructure and Sustainability hosted their annual End of Year Celebration. This event celebrated students' many contributions and accomplishments during the 2025–2026 academic year.

Students who did not receive awards were also recognized for their hard work and dedication as many of them balance their academics, jobs and additional extracurricular activities on top of being student leaders on campus.

Our programming wouldn’t be what it is without them. If you know or work with a student who would be a great fit for one of the many leadership programs we have within Student Services or the International office, please reach out to engagement@ontariotechu.ca.

Ambassador Emerging Leader Award: Ryelle Quiazon

Ambassador Spirit Award: Shariq Abdul-Wahid

International Student Leader Award: Gabriella Pamy

Health Promotions Leadership Award: Miranda Soares

Peer Mentor (ongoing) Award: Justin Goldhar

Peer Mentor (transition) Award: Lindsay Horner

Senior Peer Mentor Award: Adam Barbary

Sustainability Engagement Award: Ayesha Haider
