As part of the university’s commitment to maintaining optimal systems and operations, an extended outage of MyOntarioTech and related systems will begin on Friday, September 25 at 5 p.m. and conclude on Monday, September 28 at 8 a.m.

Should an extended outage be required, systems will be brought back online on Tuesday, September 29 at 6 a.m. If this circumstance arises, we will communicate it to you.

This outage will accommodate an upgrade to the core administrative information system used by Ontario Tech University. 

Unavailable services:

• Adding/dropping classes
• Advisor services
• Applicant portal
• Application to graduate
• Course book lists
• Fee statements
• Financial aid profile
• Grades
• Preview available courses
• Student account/fee info and credit card payments
• Student/faculty schedule
• Student exam schedule
• Web time entry
• Web transcripts
• Web payments

Services that will be available with little or no impact during the outage:

• Canvas
• MyOntarioTech (excluding administrative self-service applications listed previously)
• MyOntarioTech link to Canvas
• Network password management and reset utility
• Student email accounts
• Targeted messages and announcements
• UCard (ID card database)
• Wireless network (CAMPUS-AIR)

Limited services will be available to:

• Campus Library
• Canvas Catalog (new enrolments for paid courses will not be available)
• Class (Athletics)
• Clockwork (new students who have never used Clockwork will not be able to use the system)
• Cognos (data will not be refreshed until system upgrade is complete)
• Meal plan

To accommodate current construction efforts at the north Oshawa campus, the Founders Drive entrance and exit (north of the Campus Ice Centre) will only be accessible via southbound lanes on Simcoe Street.
