Students are invited to attend Ontario Tech University’s Moose Hide Campaign gathering on Wednesday, May 13 from 11 a.m. to noon in Shawenjigewining Hall to reflect on Red Dress Day and stand in solidarity to end gender-based violence. The gathering will include a smudge, an Opening and Honour Song by invited singers Jared Big Canoe and Summer Lavallee, and shared reflections from the community.
Updated seating now available in the Business and Information Technology Building

Stop by to explore the refreshed spaces and make the most of these enhanced campus areas.
USANA Garden Tower application

The USANA Foundation's Garden Tower initiative is a transformative program designed to address food insecurity through sustainable agriculture.
Through a grant from USANA, Ontario Tech is piloting a project to provide 12 USANA garden towers to campus community members in need.
The garden towers are 6 feet by 4 feet and all supplies needed for setting up the towers will be provided. This includes soil, seeds, seedlings, gardening gloves, watering cans and trowels.
Please note: Third-party providers manage all university parking. The purchasing process will depend on your lot location and availability. Once a parking lot is full, please select another option if available based on location. A waitlist will be created based on the time of registration and the selected lot.
If you already have an annual parking permit valid September 2025 through August 2026,no action is required.

Spring semester passes – current permit holder for a gated lot:
Existing winter semester permit holders can request a spring semester gated lot permit through IPASS and enter the existing access-card number for continued use upon approval. You must ensure the IPASS application indicates May 1, 2026, as the activation date.
Otherwise, the winter semester pass expires on Thursday, April 30.
Spring semester passes – current permit holder for a hang-tag lot:
Existing winter semester permit holders can obtain a spring semester hang-tag permit through IPASS and, upon approval, visit the Parking office with your existing hang tag between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday to Friday, to have a new sticker applied to the hang tag. You must ensure the IPASS application indicates May 1, 2026, as the activation date.
Otherwise, the winter semester pass expires on Thursday, April 30.
Annual and semester passes – new users:
First-time purchasers who require a spring semester parking pass are required to register online through IPASS. You must ensure the IPASS application indicates May 1, 2026, as the activation date.
Payment for parking permits can be made through the IPASS registration website either through credit card or pre-authorized payment.
You must use your net email address when registering. After completing the registration, an email will be sent within 24 to 48 hours from IPASS.
The email response from IPASS will include one of the following:
An approval email with follow-up instructions.
A disapproval email due to non-institutional email on application.
A disapproval email due to incorrect credit card or banking information.
A disapproval email due to full capacity reached in requested lot.
In the instance of a disapproval email, please re-submit the parking request through IPASS, making the appropriate correction (institutional email, correct banking information, etc.) or choose a different lot.
You should pick up your access card or hang tag prior to Friday, May 1 at the Parking office in the Gordon Willey building at the north Oshawa campus between Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Initial access cards will be provided at no charge. Replacement cards can be purchased for $25.
Daily parking:
Daily parking is available in two lots: Pay-and-display or gated.
The cost for daily parking is $5 per hour with a maximum of $18 per day.
Tap debit and credit card payment is now available at exit gates.
Pay stations accept cash, coins, debit and credit cards, and are located in the Founders 2 lot (south-east corner) and Commencement lot at the Oshawa campus.

Bordessa Hall heating and cooling system upgrade
April 13, 2026
Students are advised that Bordessa Hall will be closed on Monday, May 4 to allow for craning of new equipment to the roof for heating and cooling system upgrades. The building will re-open on Tuesday, May 5; however, heating and cooling will be unavailable until Saturday, May 9 while the new systems are installed and tested. Normal building operations are expected to resume on Monday, May 11.

OSAP funding for the Spring/summer 2026 term

If you received full-time OSAP at Ontario Tech in Fall 2025 or Winter 2026 and plan to study full-time this spring/summer and would like to receive OSAP funding for the spring/summer term, you will need to submit an OSAP Extension Form after you have fully registered for your courses.
The OSAP Extension Form will be available beginning in the first week of April.
Full-time status for the spring/summer term is at least nine credit hours (or six credit hours for students with a disability).
To find this form:
Go to MyOntarioTech.
Click on the Undergraduate/Graduate box.
Select the My Finances box.
Select OSAP forms, then select OSAP Extension Form.
Please note: Bachelor of Education (Concurrent or Consecutive) students will be emailed directly with the link to the OSAP Extension Form.
The final examination period for the Winter 2026 semester is Wednesday, April 15 to Friday, April 24. The emergency examination date (if required) will be Saturday, April 25.
Students are advised not to make commitments during this period.
The deferred examination date(s) will be Thursday, May 7 to Friday, May 8.
Students registered with Student Accessibility Services (SAS) must register through the Student Accessibility Services Portal to use full accommodations.
MyOntario Tech Service Outage November 21 to November 24
As part of the university’s commitment to maintaining optimal systems and operations, an outage of MyOntarioTech and related systems will occur from Friday, November 21 at 5 p.m. through to Monday, November 24 at 6 a.m. Should an extended outage be required, systems will be brought back online on Tuesday, November 25 at 6 a.m.
This outage will accommodate an upgrade to the core administrative information system used by Ontario Tech University.
During the outage, MyOntarioTech self-service options will not be available.
